Nationwide — Jahmale and Tracey Ledeatte, who are from New Rochelle, New York, died in a tragic car crash on December 3rd. The couple, ages 46 and 44, were killed when their Tesla crashed into a wall and caught fire, leaving behind two children.

According to People, Pelham Manor Police Chief Gregory Sancho believes speeding may have been a factor.

Savannah, Jahmale’s sister, comments, “In a heart-wrenching turn of events, my life and my brother’s life were changed forever when our parents tragically passed away in a car crash,” she wrote in her message.

“We are struggling to afford basic needs, as well as the expenses that come with being active and engaged in school and life,” she said. “Sports have always been a way for us to stay connected to our parents’ values and passions, but right now, the cost of maintaining these activities feels impossible.”

Savannah has since created a GoFundMe page to help cover daily expenses as they face life without their parents. The campaign has raised over $43,000 to help the family.
