* The specified value is determined according to the specified measurement method (§ 2 No. 5, 6, 6a Pkw-EnVKV in the currently valid version).
Since September 1 2017, certain new vehicles have been approved according to the World Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP), a new, more realistic test procedure for measuring fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Since September 1 2018, WLTP has replaced the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), the current testing procedure. Due to more realistic test conditions, the fuel consumption and CO2 emission values measured according to the WLTP are in most cases higher than those measured according to the NEDC.
The values assigned to these vehicle types have been determined using the new WLTP test cycle and calculated back to the NEDC for comparison purposes. Please note that since September 1 2018, the values determined by WLTP have been used as the basis for calculating CO2 emission-based taxes or levies. Therefore, values other than those given herein may apply to the assessment of such taxes and duties.
