City cycling started at the Schlemmermarkt

At the Schlemmermarkt on the Adenauerplatz in Friedrichshafen, Mayor Fabian Müller officially launched the “City Cycling” campaign on Saturday 18 June. From June 18 to July 8, you should rotate as many kilometers as possible for a better climate.

Daniel Rahl showed amazing tricks at the opening of the Stadtradeln campaign at Adenauerplatz.

Many cyclists from towns and communities in the Lake Constance region participated in the rally and some cycled ten, twenty or thirty kilometers to Friedrichshafen.

“I am delighted that today we can open the Stadtradeln campaign in the Lake Constance region together. I would especially like to welcome all the participants to the rally across the region. Our goal is to cover as many daily routes as possible by bike in the next three weeks and to collect as many bike kilometers as possible”, As Mayor Fabian Muller says.

His thanks went to ADFC tour guides Bodenseekreis, the Seerose Cycling Club, the “Felgengrün” team and the team from Tettnang. He also thanked Stefan Hoffs, District Cycling Officer, who prepared the opening in collaboration with Stadtmarketing Friedrichshafen GmbH.

There was a lot going on at Adenauerplatz: The “Strandgut” band framed the opening. Daniel Rahl showed amazing tricks and amazing stunts on the bike. There were also several information platforms, photo contest and bike inspection.

It doesn’t matter whether you cycle to work or go on a private bike tour: the kilometers from Friedrichshafen can be collected from June 18 to July 8 in order to cover as many kilometers as possible by bike or e-bike. Registration at is now possible.

How do you join?
It is important that you register at You can join a virtual team or start your own. If you wish, you can also record the bike kilometers traveled as an individual. Simply enter the kilometers traveled in the online cycling calendar at or via the Stadtradeln app.

If you do not wish to register online or use the online calendar, you can simply print out the registration form, fill it out and send it to Stefan Valentin, Stadtbauamt, Charlottenstraße, 88045 Friedrichshafen by 7 July 2022 at the latest.

For all registered participants there is a seven-day extension period from July 8. After that, entries are no longer possible and the kilometers traveled are lost. All bikes that are bicycles within the meaning of road traffic regulations are allowed, including pedals up to 250W.
