On Tuesday, December 20, the premiere edition of Polska Press Group’s “Football Eagles” ranking took place at the Capitol Theatre. At the gala, the best shooter and female shooter in Poland and the best shooter of the year in the individual provinces were named. Guests at the gala were Minister of Sports Kamil Bortniczuk or general secretary of PZPN Łukasz Wachowski and Dorota Kania – editor-in-chief of Polska Press Grupa.
The “Football Eagles” group’s Polska Press project is a huge analytical and technological undertaking, as well as a unique opportunity to promote football players from lower league clubs as well as from Ekstraklasa and Ekstraliga. The fact that the rankings also include women’s leagues makes the rankings an excellent way to promote women’s football, which is gaining new fans and constantly evolving every year.
The honorary patron of the “Football Eagles” was the Ministry of Sports and Tourism, the content partner of the Polish Football Association. A strategic partner for PKN Orlen. The event’s partner was Capitol Theatre.

– I am very happy to participate with you during the first gala. It gives you the opportunity to look broadly at football in Poland. Maybe the winners will represent our country in the future. I hope that future editions will also be covered by our patronage – said Kamil Bortniczuk with hope.
– Many thanks for including PZPN in this initiative. There are over 500,000 players participating in it. Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s edition – said Łukasz Wachowski.
The ranking includes goals scored in the calendar year by footballers playing in Polish clubs at the level of Ekstraklasa, Ekstraliga I, II, III league and the Polish cup tournament, as well as European cups. The goals scored have been multiplied by the appropriate coefficient:
· for Ekstraklasa and Ekstraliga – x2,
1st league – x1.75,
2nd league – x1.5,
3rd league – x1,
to the Polish Cup – x2,
· for European cups – x2.5.
On this basis, the annual winners of the first edition of the “Football Eagles” rankings were selected.
- Goal scorer of the year: Agata Bała (Nowy Świt – Górzno), 2nd league, 45 goals
- Goal scorer of the year: Mikael Ishak (Lech Poznań), Ekstraklasa, 22 goals
– First of all, I am very sorry that I could not attend the gala. Now we have a preparation period before the resumption of Ekstraklasa. I am very proud of this award. I would like to thank the club, my friends from Lech, the staff and everyone connected to our team. And also my family, who always support me. And above all to my Lord Jesus Christ. Thanks for the prize and good evening everyone! – said the best shooter in 2022 in Poland.

In the first season in the colors of our club, he did not manage to come close to this result, but this year he has a good chance to at least repeat it. The autumn round in his performance was very successful, and if he continues to work as hard as before, he should also add a lot of goals in the spring – said the president of MKS Kluczbork Waldemar Sosin.
