KARACHI: At least four hikers drowned while swimming in the sea at Clifton Beach in Karachi, rescue officials confirmed on Thursday.
According to details, the incident happened when people were swimming near Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park in the middle of the monsoon and stormy water season on Wednesday.
Strong waves swept away at least seven people. However, rescuers managed to pull three people unconscious. They were then transferred to a hospital for treatment.
The two deceased have been identified as Saifullah and Riaz, while the other two have yet to be identified.
