Rooftop gardens, a “mountain trail” with city views and a hotel for music lovers. Hamburg’s St. Pauli flak tower is being renovated and, despite its Nazi history, could become the city’s architectural flagship.

Cables hang from the walls, sockets are still missing. You can guess where the bathroom will be by looking at the walls. There are still tiling, fittings and toilets to consider, as well as the latest technology to be carried over to rooms, beds and bedside tables. The scene is a little greener, but now spectacular. from the suite, you can see not only the cranes of the container port, but also a view of the Elbphilharmonie. Originally, the first guests were supposed to move to the new hotel now, but with the schedule, it’s just something like that.
