Kamil Stoch is one of the most recognizable Polish athletes, he celebrates his 36th birthday on May 25. Stoch was born on May 25, 1987 in Zakopane. He is one of the most successful ski jumpers in history. He has three Olympic gold medals and one bronze medal (he competed four times at the Olympic Games – 2006-2018). He was world champion both individually and as a team. He won the Crystal Globe three times for the World Cup scoring triumph and he also won the prestigious Four Hills Tournament three times.
At the age of 12, he jumped 128 m at Wielka Krokiew. Then he said in the TVP material that he wanted to win Olympic gold. This dream has come true…
In 1999 he became junior world champion. In 2004 and 2005, together with his friends, he won silver at the Junior WC. He made his World Cup debut in January 2004 in Zakopane, aged less than 17. He scored his first World Cup points a year later in Pragelato.
He stood on the podium at the WC for the first time in January 2011 in Zakopane – and from time to time at the highest level. So far, he has won the World Cup 39 times, the same as Adam Małysz (from the 2022-23 season), in total he was on the podium 76 times.

Kamil Stoch grew up in the town of Ząb, where he lives to this day. He graduated from the School of Sports Championship in Zakopane. In 2012, he became a master of sports at the Academy of Physical Education in Kraków. In 2010, he married Ewa Bilan (they met four years earlier during one of the competitions). The wife is a spring manager.
Kamil Stoch is a fan of aviation, after the Olympic Games in Sochi he had the opportunity to fly – as a passenger – in the F16D “Jastrząb” fighter
He started his adventure by jumping in LKS Ząb. Later he was a player of Poroniec Poronin, currently he is in KS Eve-nement Zakopane.
