In the 21st round of the eWinner II league, the players from Kotwica Kołobrzeg defeated Lech II Poznań 3:1 (2:0). This is Kotwica’s first league win this year.
After last week’s slip-up at the inauguration of the football spring, the team from Kołobrzeg played up to the expectations of its fans on Saturday. The hero of the day was the scorer of 3 goals, Adam Frączczak.
The 35-year-old striker, who returned to Kołobrzeg after 12 years, opened the scoring in the 36th minute by converting a penalty for a foul on himself for pushing in the penalty area by Michał Gurgul. The away goalkeeper, Artur Rudko, sensed the shooter’s intentions, but was unable to parry the ball.
In the 44th minute of the match, Lech II had an excellent chance to equalize. In the confusion following a corner kick, Łukasz Spławski struck from the corner of the goal area but missed badly. Wasting this opportunity took revenge on the rivals after a while. The corner kick was won by Kotwica and the cross from Łukasz Kosakiewicz was turned into a precise header by Frączczak.
The beginning of the second half belonged to the Poznań players. First, Mateusz Żukowski (51st) scored a dangerous free kick and two minutes later, Lech II’s top scorer Filip Wilak took advantage of Filip Wolski’s flat cross from the left and sent the ball into the net.
