Marcin Gienieczko, a traveler associated with Tri-City, intends to cover the route of about 340 kilometers in 15 days. The challenge under the name “News24 Svalbard Exterme Expedition” was carried out in the Norwegian province by the Arctic Ocean, i.e. Svalbard. The progress of its traverse can be continuously tracked thanks to the information from the GPS transmitter.

The lover of extreme challenges sets off from Longyearbyen and intends to reach Newtons Bjerg (Newtontoppen), a peak at 1,713 m above sea level.
Globetrotters Marcin Gienieczko depart on the previously determined route on Saturday, March 5, 2023. Each day he must travel a certain distance. He set himself a sporting challenge, which consists of meeting the deadline – 15 days. On site, he has to face low temperatures, gusts of wind and snowfall. An additional threat is possible encounters with polar bears and, above all, crevasses in the glacier.
