SHK ESSEN is all about energy revolution and sustainable sanitation trends

Essen (ots) – Finally SHK ESSEN again: From 6 to 9 September 2022, a platform for SHK traders, planners and architects will open at Messe Essen. Around 400 exhibitors from 16 countries will present their suite of plumbing, heating, air conditioning and digital building management. Trade fairs are one of the most important meeting places for HVAC professionals from trading, installation, planning and consulting. Top topics include technical solutions for heat transition applications, indoor and drinking water hygiene, and digital bathrooms. In addition to appearances from brand manufacturers, trade visitors can look forward to several innovative specialist forums, including a separate area for photovoltaics.

SHK Industry stands for active climate protection – players at the upcoming trade show agree on that. Trade and industry are the driving forces behind the heat transition and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions to zero in the long term. This is emphasized by Hans-Peter Sproten, General Manager of the association SHK NRW, which is the conceptual sponsor of the trade fair: “Without a strong SHK industry, the goal of climate protection cannot be achieved at any stage. SHK trade – despite the current shortage of materials – find pragmatic solutions. In addition, high energy prices increase the demand for heating systems that are not only environmentally protective, but also cost effective and reliable.”

Trade shows with high public relevance

For the first time, SHK ESSEN has its own exhibition area on the topic of photovoltaics: in Hall 2, exhibitors will present a series of heating, ventilation, cooling and solar-powered drinking water heating in a specialist forum. The product includes functional components and parts for photovoltaic and energy storage systems, as well as application and permit information. Oliver P. Kuhrt, Managing Director of Messe Essen, emphasized: “SHK ESSEN is a trade fair of high social relevance. The energy transition is being pushed forward here. The response from industry and commerce also shows how eager it is to face-to-face trade fairs is.”

The heating industry will be presented in Halls 1 and 3 with topics of heating technology, ventilation and air conditioning technology, regenerative energy systems and building control technology and measurement technology. The partner of SHK ESSEN is the Federal Association of the German Heating Industry. This industry focuses on heating with heat pumps. It can now be operated efficiently not only in new buildings, but also in existing buildings. Another important topic is heating with hydrogen using a fuel cell heater or an H2-Ready condensing boiler. In addition, manufacturers demonstrate the so-called energy management systems. This coordinates the generators and consumers within the building and thus allows maximum efficiency. With these and other technical solutions, the heating sector is a key building block for achieving climate protection goals in the building sector.

Sanitation Industry in Hall 5 and 6

In Hall 2 of SHK ESSEN, exhibitors of factory tools and equipment will also show their range. The sanitation industry is divided into sanitation objects in Hall 5 and sanitation and water technology installations in Hall 6. Industry trends include more convenience and design in bathrooms and barrier-free bathrooms. In addition, smart solutions such as digital and contactless control of water applications and sustainable products made from natural ingredients define what manufacturers offer.

In addition to the main sanitary and heating brands, another specialist forum characterizes what is happening at the trade show: “The 6th German Forum for interior hygiene” organized by the trade association SHK NRW in Hall 6 focuses on reconciling cleanliness and indoor living . The main focus of this daily change specialist lecture is innovation in air cleanliness and pollutant handling, which is also the subject of the accompanying exhibition. Connected to this is the drinking water meeting point of the Federal Association of Companies in the Gas and Water Industry – figawa. There, exhibitors presented their services as well as approaches and products related to the provision of pure and hygienic drinking water.

Another specialist forum dedicated to future energy sources: on the dialogue platform “Hydrogen Practice in Dialogue” in Hall 2, practical knowledge and exhibitions on the use of hydrogen-based technologies await trade show visitors. It is about application fields in the HVAC sector as well as devices and components. The SHK Crafts Education Campus and Start-up Area are also located in Hall 2.

Good planning is half the battle with a digital visit planner

Time is a scarce commodity at most SHK companies: To make their visit at SHK ESSEN as efficient as possible, visitors have a digital visit planner at their disposal. This includes, among other things, a list of exhibitors and events as well as the possibility of writing to exhibitors and arranging appointments in advance. In addition, the matchmaking function automatically forwards inquiries about certain products to the appropriate exhibitors. The digital visit planner is free of charge and can be accessed at www.shkessen.de under “Meine Messe”. Tickets for SHK ESSEN are available online or at the box office. A ticket costs 21 euros, minus 11.50 euros.
