What to wear for snowboarding? This question is asked by almost every person who starts their adventure with this exciting sport. Properly selected snowboard clothing is essential for a comfortable and pleasant ride. We suggest what to wear and what to look for when choosing a snowboard outfit.
Before we go to the slope, we must remember that our outfit must contain the following elements:
- snowboard jacket and pants – in their construction, they are basically the same as ski clothing (it must protect against adverse weather conditions and retain body heat);
- gloves and goggles – inconspicuous but important accessories that noticeably increase the comfort of snowboarding;
- helmet – to ensure maximum security;
- T-shirt and/or underwear made of water-repellent fabric – prevents sweating and cooling of the body.

It is also worth mentioning beginners can also use protectors for elbows, wrists and knees (they don’t have to be dedicated specifically to snowboarders). In contrast to skiing, snowboarding is noticeably more difficult – especially if you have never had contact with e.g. skateboard or wakeboard before. Regardless of the level of advancement, it is also worth buying good quality winter sports socks and a mask or hood to protect the face and neck.

Maintaining thermal comfort while snowboarding is not an easy task. During the descent, we move intensively to take the lift up after some time. We repeat the whole cycle several or several dozen times a day. To this must be added temperature differences due to the altitude we are at (it can be much cooler at the top than at the foot of the slope).
