These are the winners of the German Podcast Award 2022
In “Drinnies”, Giulia Becker and Chris Sommer talk about the lives of introverts. They won in the categories of best talk team and best independent podcast. From the attic in Cologne, for example, they collect tips (“drinsiders”) or represent a “bite of the week” in one of the sections.
Brothers Bill and Tom Kaulitz (“Tokio Hotel”) were successful on the podcast award with “Kaulitz Hills – Mustard from Hollywood”, but did not personally accept the award as the best newcomer. In it, the twins talk about their lives.
In addition to the jury awards, audience awards were presented in several categories. The winners were “Wall Street with Markus Koch” (news and politics), “Hobbylos” (comedy), “Der Kids.Doc – Mehr Gesundheit für dein Kind” (knowledge) and “Samira & Serkan in Paradise – Das Nachspiel” ( lifestyle).
Many new podcasts have appeared in recent years. Is the boom over soon? Are there too many podcasts? Micky Beisenherz doesn’t see it that way. He moderated the evening along with Aminata Belli and hosts several podcasts himself.
From the point of view of ending the podcast, you already think, “Now it’s over – who else would need all the podcasts?” He said on the sidelines of the award. But only one in three listens to podcasts. There is still a lot going on. In his opinion, the offer will be even more diversified. – There will be many more departments.
