There is no shortage of fans of Marvel movies and series, and the number of productions is constantly increasing. Among them we find many works whose individual scenes were exceptionally successful. However, it turns out that their final form was not always as originally planned. Here are the best improvised scenes from the MCU.
Do you like Marvel-style superhero movies? Well, we realize that the answers to this question may vary, a MCU productions they have as many fans as disinterested and even hostile people. After all, voices have been heard many times, including from the film industry itself, that titles of this type are of less value than their “more ambitious” counterparts. What is it really like?
Of course, it cannot be denied that cinema is an art, and like high-class series, it can give viewers extraordinary experiences. Some of them are inspiring, some are moving and thought-provoking, and others are thought-provoking or enrich us artistically, spiritually, etc. The problem is that some people seem to forget about the cinema’s primary function, which is entertainment.
Yes, cinema and TV series are primarily meant to entertain and it is also worth keeping in mind the needs of those viewers who just want to to entertain and relax, e.g. after a hard day’s work. That is why there is also a need for productions of this type, and I see no problem in all types of works existing side by side and for the viewers to choose what they want right now. That’s the way it should be, and it must be admitted that Marvel titles are perfect in the context of pure entertainment that offers, among other things,
- Extraordinary heroes
- and a certain amount of drama.
Almost every time a production gains popularity, the so-called news about it after its release. Among the most interesting are e.g. trivia from the set, cut scenes or that something didn’t go as planned. This type of content mainly includes improvised scenes, i.e. scenes where there were accidental or deliberate changes in the timing of the recording. Importantly, they often revolve around iconic moments, and no one would believe that a given scene was the result of chance or improvisation.
One of the most popular examples of this type is the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series. Because, as is known, the director of the show gave the lead actor, Johnny Depp, a lot of freedom. So much so that he could change his lines and the rest of the actors adapted to the changes continuously. On the other hand, Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” trilogy is full of “accidental” scenes, and Viggo Mortensen, who played the role of Aragorn, often experienced this. You certainly didn’t miss the scene of the fight with the Orcs when Aragorn fought by the downed Boromir. When one of the opponents threw a knife at him, the skilled deflected it with his sword and guess what? This was not in the script.
The knife was originally intended to go into the tree next to Aragorn, but the orc player misjudged and the prop flew straight at the actor. But thanks to fencing training, he reflected it instinctively, and that way we got a spectacular scene that the director decided to put in the film. However, Mortensen had less luck in another scene. Do you remember the poignant sequence when Aragorn stood by a pile of fallen knight’s helmets and kicked one of them and screamed in despair? It was poignant, but it turns out The actor seriously screamed because during the kick he… broke his toe.
But what about unplanned scenes for Marvel movies? Well, the fact that the MCU productions do not lack them either, and as in the case of previous examples, many of them have become almost iconic. Most of it is due to the actors themselves and of course the directors who saw the potential in these errors (and sometimes arbitrariness) and then included them in the final version of individual titles. You can find out in our gallery unplanned and improvised MCU scenes. Enjoy and beware of spoilers.
